Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of aimockcase.org and the related AI mock case-interview service (the "Service"), provided by AI Mock Case (operated by the founder personally during the beta). Please read them carefully. By accessing or using the Service (including by creating an account, entering an invite code, purchasing credits, or booking a session), you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
1.1 You accept these Terms by creating an account, entering a beta invite code, purchasing credits, booking a session, or otherwise accessing the Service.
1.2 If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms, and "you" refers to both you and that organisation.
2. Definitions
- "Service" means the aimockcase.org website, your account and dashboard, the booking flow, the live mock-interview room, the AI interviewer, the feedback engine, and any related features we provide.
- "Account" means the personal account you create to access the Service, including your profile, credit balance, booking history, and stored feedback.
- "Credit" means a unit of access that entitles you to one AI mock interview. 1 credit = 1 AI mock interview: one full live voice case with the AI interviewer plus the resulting five-dimension scorecard.
- "Bundle" means a pre-packaged quantity of Credits or an unlimited-access pass that you may purchase, as described in Section 6.
- "AI interviewer" means the automated voice agent that conducts your case and adapts to the target firm you select. The AI interviewer is not a named persona and is not affiliated with any consulting firm.
- "User Content" means any content you submit, generate, or transmit through the Service, including your spoken answers during an interview and any free-text input you provide on the booking form.
- "Service Output" means feedback, scorecards, transcripts, rewrite pairs, model answers, and any other material we generate or provide to you through the Service.
- "Sub-processor" means a third party we engage to process Personal Data on our behalf, as listed in our Privacy Policy.
3. The Service
3.1 The Service offers live voice mock case interviews conducted by an AI interviewer, followed by a structured five-dimension feedback report (scored on Structure, Quantitative, Business Insight, Communication, and Recommendation, plus an Overall score) delivered to you in minutes. Cases are sourced from publicly available consulting casebooks and re-derived for accuracy by us.
3.2 The AI interviewer adapts to whichever target firm you select when booking. References to firm names in the Service (for example, in the target-firm selector) describe the firm you are applying to; they do not mean the Service, the AI interviewer, or any interviewer style is affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by that firm. See Section 12.4.
3.3 We may add, modify, or remove features of the Service at our discretion. We will give reasonable notice before removing material functionality.
4. Eligibility and accounts
4.1 You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
4.2 You may create an Account using a supported sign-in method (for example, Google sign-in or an email-and-password registration). You must provide accurate, current information and keep it up to date.
4.3 You are responsible for safeguarding your Account credentials and any join links issued to you, and for all activity that occurs under your Account, whether or not authorised by you. Each join link is unique and grants access to a live interview room; sharing your credentials or a join link constitutes a breach of these Terms.
4.4 Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect any unauthorised use of your Account.
4.5 One person may hold one Account. You may not create an Account using another person's identity or share an Account with others.
5. Private beta and invite codes
5.1 The Service is currently offered as a private, invite-gated beta. Access requires a valid promotional invite code, which you enter when signing in or creating an Account. We issue and may revoke invite codes at our discretion and may cap the number of beta participants.
5.2 During the beta, features may change, be unavailable, or break. We will fix issues as promptly as we can but make no uptime, availability, or results guarantee during the beta period.
5.3 An invite code grants access to the Service but does not itself grant Credits. Credits must be obtained separately, as described in Section 6. New Accounts begin with a balance of zero Credits.
5.4 We may collect additional feedback and telemetry during the beta to improve the Service, subject to the Privacy Policy.
6. Credits, bundles, and expiry
6.1 What a Credit is. Access to mock interviews is metered in Credits. 1 credit = 1 AI mock interview: one full live voice case with the AI interviewer plus the resulting five-dimension scorecard. A Credit is consumed when a session begins.
6.2 Bundles. You may purchase Credits individually or in bundles, including an unlimited-access pass. The bundles available during the beta, and their prices, are those shown on the recharge page at the time of purchase. For reference, current beta bundles are:
| Bundle | Grants |
|---|---|
| Single case | 1 Credit (1 AI mock interview) |
| Warm-up pack | 3 Credits |
| Interview-ready | 10 Credits |
| Unlimited · 1 month | Unlimited AI mock interviews for one (1) month from purchase |
6.3 Expiry. Credits expire approximately one (1) month after the date of purchase and have no value after expiry. For the unlimited-access bundle, unlimited use applies only during the one-month pass period; the pass does not auto-renew, and access ends when the period lapses. We may show your next expiry date on your dashboard as a convenience, but it is your responsibility to use Credits before they expire.
6.4 No carry-over or cash value. Credits are a limited licence to access the Service, are personal to your Account, and are not transferable, assignable, exchangeable for cash, or redeemable for anything other than mock interviews on the Service. Expired Credits are not restored or extended except at our discretion or where required by law.
6.5 Fair use of unlimited access. The unlimited-access pass is intended for genuine, individual interview preparation. We may apply reasonable rate limits and may suspend or revoke a pass we reasonably believe is being used abusively, shared, resold, or automated.
6.6 Changes to credits and pricing. Prices, bundle contents, and expiry windows shown at the point of purchase govern that purchase. We may change future pricing, bundles, or expiry terms prospectively; changes do not affect Credits you have already purchased.
7. Payments and refunds
7.1 Payment processor. Payments for Credits and bundles are processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. By purchasing, you also agree to Stripe's applicable terms. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number; card data is collected and processed directly by Stripe. See our Privacy Policy for how payment-related Personal Data is handled.
7.2 Authorisation and prices. When you purchase, you authorise us (through Stripe) to charge your selected payment method for the amount shown at checkout. Prices are stated in the currency displayed at checkout and, unless stated otherwise, are exclusive of any taxes, which may be added as required by law. Beta and launch discounts are time-limited and may be withdrawn at any time for future purchases.
7.3 Delivery. Credits are added to your Account balance promptly after a successful payment is confirmed by Stripe.
7.4 Refunds. Except where required by law, all purchases are final. In particular:
- Used Credits are non-refundable. Once a Credit has been consumed (a session has begun) or has expired, it is not refundable for cash or otherwise.
- Unused Credits. We may, at our discretion, refund or re-credit unused, unexpired Credits, for example where a session could not be delivered due to a fault on our side.
- Unlimited pass. Once an unlimited-access pass has been activated or used, it is non-refundable.
- Statutory rights. Nothing in this Section limits any non-waivable refund or cancellation right you have as a consumer under the law that applies to you. Where you have a statutory right to cancel, note that by starting a mock interview you may be requesting immediate performance of a digital service, which can end that right for the portion consumed.
7.5 Chargebacks. If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute, we may suspend your Account and the affected Credits pending resolution. We encourage you to contact us first at [email protected] so we can try to resolve the issue directly.
8. Acceptable use
8.1 You agree not to, and not to permit anyone else to:
- Use the Service for any purpose that is unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, deceptive, or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, models, or system prompts behind the Service.
- Scrape, harvest, copy, or store the case library or any other Service Output other than as explicitly permitted under Section 9.
- Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with security, authentication, invite-code gating, rate-limiting, payment, or access-control mechanisms, including any attempt to obtain Credits or access without paying.
- Share, resell, sublicense, or transfer your Account, invite code, join links, Credits, or unlimited-access pass.
- Submit content that infringes any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights, or that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable.
- Use the Service to test prompt-injection attacks, generate disinformation, or attempt to extract our internal instructions, training data, or sub-processor credentials.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service or Service Output without our prior written consent.
- Use bots, automated scripts, or other automated means to access the Service except for accessibility tools that do not interfere with normal operation.
8.2 We may investigate violations of this Section, suspend or terminate Accounts that violate it (including forfeiting affected Credits), and cooperate with law enforcement where appropriate.
9. Intellectual property
9.1 Our IP
The Service, including its software, AI models, system prompts, case curation, scoring rubric, feedback templates, design, and trademarks, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Cases originate from publicly available casebooks (including Wharton and Darden) and are used under educational fair use; our re-derivation, error corrections, and structuring of those cases is our own work.
9.2 Your User Content
You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to host, store, reproduce, transcribe, evaluate, analyse, and create derivative works of your User Content solely to (i) deliver the Service to you, (ii) generate and improve Service Output, (iii) improve the Service, including by using anonymised excerpts for model evaluation and quality assurance, and (iv) comply with legal obligations. This licence ends when we delete the User Content in line with our retention schedule, except for anonymised derivative works which may persist indefinitely.
9.3 Service Output
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use Service Output we generate for you (your scorecard, rewrites, and model answers) for your personal interview preparation. You may not resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit Service Output without our prior written consent.
9.4 Feedback
If you send us suggestions, ideas, or feedback about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use that feedback without restriction or compensation.
10. Privacy
10.1 Our collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Data is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.
11. Term and termination
11.1 These Terms remain in effect for as long as you have an Account or use the Service.
11.2 You may stop using the Service at any time and may request deletion of your Account by emailing [email protected]. Deleting your Account does not entitle you to a refund of purchased Credits, and any unused or unexpired Credits are forfeited on deletion unless required otherwise by law.
11.3 We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the safety and integrity of the Service or other users.
11.4 Sections 6 (Credits, to the extent of accrued obligations), 7 (Payments & refunds), 8 (Acceptable use), 9 (Intellectual property), 12 (Disclaimers), 13 (Limitation of liability), 14 (Indemnification), 16 (Governing law), and 17 (General) survive termination.
12. Disclaimers
12.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. We expressly disclaim all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
12.2 The Service Output, including scorecards and rewrites, is generated by automated systems and is informational. It is not a guarantee, prediction, or representation of your performance in any real interview, nor of any offer, outcome, or career result. Real consulting firms apply their own evaluators and methodologies; the Service is one signal among many.
12.3 We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components. The live voice leg of the Service depends on third-party connectivity and your network, which we do not control.
12.4 No firm affiliation. AI Mock Case is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, Bain & Company, or any other consulting firm. Firm names are used only to describe the target firm you are preparing for and remain the property of their respective owners.
13. Limitation of liability
13.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party will be liable to the other for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost opportunity, or career outcomes, arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, whether based on contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other theory, and whether or not the party has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
13.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total cumulative liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of (i) the total amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, and (ii) US$100.
13.3 The limitations in Sections 13.1 and 13.2 do not apply to liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (for example, gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or, where you act as a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights).
14. Indemnification
14.1 You will defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from and against any third-party claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with (i) your User Content, (ii) your use of the Service in breach of these Terms or applicable law, or (iii) your infringement of any third-party right.
14.2 We will (a) promptly notify you of any such claim, (b) give you sole control of the defence and settlement (provided that no settlement may admit liability or impose obligations on us without our prior written consent), and (c) provide reasonable cooperation at your expense.
15. Changes to the Service or these Terms
15.1 We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be notified by email to the address associated with your Account at least 14 days before they take effect, except where a shorter period is required by law or to address an urgent security or legal issue.
15.2 If you do not agree to a change, your remedy is to stop using the Service before the change takes effect.
16. Governing law and dispute resolution
16.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules.
16.2 The parties will attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service through informal negotiation. Either party may submit unresolved disputes to the competent courts of the United Arab Emirates, which the parties agree have exclusive jurisdiction, except that:
- Each party retains the right to seek interim or injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property or confidential information.
- Nothing in these Terms restricts your mandatory rights as a consumer to bring proceedings in your country of habitual residence under applicable consumer-protection law.
17. General
17.1 Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any commercial terms presented at point of purchase, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
17.2 Severability. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remainder remains in full force and effect.
17.3 No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of that provision or of any other.
17.4 Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
17.5 Force majeure. Neither party is liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
17.6 Independent contractors. The parties are independent contractors. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, agency, or employment relationship.
17.7 Headings. Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
